St Catherine's Early Education Centre Mission
Our centre provides a fun and safe environment where your child will be able to learn, grow and develop through play and planned experiences. Our centre is filled with interesting materials, resources and equipment that encourages exploration and promotes your child's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.
Our experienced educators create and teach programs based on play, our environment, family and community ties as well as developmental learning outcomes.
We aim to encourage each child's independence, self confidence and respect for self, others and property through guidance, positive reinforcement and role modelling.
We value open and honest communication and recognize it's importance when working with parents to support each child's learning.
Welcome to St Catherine's Early Education Centre, for many children this will be their first time away from home and they need to feel safe and secure in their new surrounding. We also want you, as their parents, to have peace of mind that your child is enjoying their day while in our care.
We provide quality care and education for children aged six weeks to six years and are open from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm.
We're located in beautiful North Melbourne, with easy access to trams, buses and the city as well as a designated car park for drop off and collection.
In addition to quality educational programs, the centre provides nappies, sunscreen, sun smart hats, incursions/excursions as well as nutritious meals including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and an evening snack.
Our centre proudly offers a kindergarten/preschool program to ensure your child is supported for their transition to school every step of the way. With a focus on language, literacy, numeracy, social skills and more, your child will become Big School Ready.
